Hi,

This one probably sounds quite odd and possibly a long shot as well, but here goes.
I know that there is an option for the first line of the message to be shown before you click into the message. Is there a way it could also be made available that you see the comments appear in the same place.

And here's the reason.
Our girls on reception want to be able to show that the pt's notes have been pulled ready for a home visit, just so that they know who they've printed them for and who they haven't. I know in the most logical way, all you would have to do is check against the print outs but they want something to show they have pulled the notes without putting it into the message box when adding the visit.

So either for the comments to be able to appear in the same place as the 'Show first line of message' or as a button so they know it's been pulled.

I understand if you think this is a strange one but our girls like some clarification that aren't doing the same job more than once.

The surgery in question now print all of their new requests once a day to complete in one go.

The way they do this:

Sign into your website management

and go to logs at the top.

Click on prescriptions and you will see your list. All of you newest requests will be first.

Tick the boxes down the left of all of your new requests. There is a select all tick box at the bottom to make things quicker if they are all new.

Then click on print selected items.

Afterwards, to help, you can change the status of all of these requests from pending to completed so that when you sign in again the next day you will know which ones you have/haven't done.

Needing patient signatures on your registration form

After a couple of suggestions from our customers you have 2 options with regards to needing patient signatures on your registration form.

1. Your patients fill out your registration form and send them to you online. You then ask your patients to come down to the surgery and sign their forms.

So you don't have to fill in a paper form yourself you can actually print a filled in form from your website management with some areas that need signing.

When a new request is made you get an email and the request is also kept in your secure website logs.

If you sign into your website management, go to logs, and go to your registration requests you will see your list of new requests.

If you click on view next to the patients name you can see a bit more about them.

If you click on view the filled in form you get a pop up displaying the form filled in with all of the patients details. If you print this filled in form you will notice there are 4 new areas that need filling in:

An area requiring the patients signature or a signature on behalf of the patient.

An area requiring a signature confirming consent to organ donation.

An area requiring a signature confirming consent to inclusion on the NHS Blood Doner Register.

And an area to be completed by the doctor.

You could ask your patient to come into the surgery to sign these new areas.

2. If you would like you can make your patients fill in your form, print it, sign it and then bring it down to your surgery.

Instead of a send button at the bottom of your registration form there will be a print button.

When the patient prints the form there will be 4 new areas that need filling in:

An area requiring the patients signature or a signature on behalf of the patient.

An area requiring a signature confirming consent to organ donation.

An area requiring a signature confirming consent to inclusion on the NHS Blood Doner Register.

And an area to be completed by the doctor.

The patient can then sign the 3 areas he/she needs to sign and then bring the form down to your surgery.

To change your form to print only you need to:

Sign into your website management

Sign into your website management

and click on options.

You will need to check the on radio button next to Registration Form only available to print.

Then save changes and publish your website. The requests will still be kept in your website logs.

Add a link into a page?

You can add both internal and external links into any page on your website. You can also make both text and images into links.

Sign into your website management, go to Website Content Management and click to edit the page where you would like to insert a link.

External Links

1. Type some text, for example: Click here for the NHS Direct website.
Or you can type the website address, for example: www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk.
Alternatively you can add an image, for example:

2. Select the text (click and drag over the text) that you would like to turn into a link for example: the word here or www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk
Alternatively click on the image that you would like to turn into a link. Little white boxes will appear at the corners of your image.

3. Then click on the Insert/edit link icon and a pop up will open.

4. You need to type the URL of the website that you would like to link to in the Link URL box, for example http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk. You must include http://.
Top Tip: why not visit the website that you would like to link to and then copy and paste the URL straight out of your address bar - this will prevent any spelling mistakes.

If you would like your external website to appear in a new window (so your patients do not lose your website) you can change the Target to open in a new window (_blank).

5. Click Insert and the text will change to blue and underlined so your patients will know it is a link. Click Save and then Publish your website.
If you have made an image into a link the$n the image will have a blue box around it - this box will not be visible when you Save and Publish.

Result:

Click here for the NHS Direct website.

www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk

Internal Links

If you would like to add an internal link into your website, for example if you would like to put a link to your repeat prescription page from your home page, then you need to first follow stages 1, 2 and 3 above.

4. Instead of typing http://... you need to type the Web Page Extension of the page you would like to link to in the Link URL box.

For example, on our Secure Surgery Website the repeat prescription page is:
www.securesurgerywebsite.co.uk/repeat-prescription-form,28336.htm
We would paste the text: /repeat-prescription-form,28336.htm into the Link URL box.

Because your patients will not lose your website by clicking on this link leave the Target as Open in this window / frame.

5. Click Insert, then Save and then Publish your website.
