Test your LGB like you would your fire alarm

We advise you test your Little Green Buttons in the same way you test your fire alarm.

Make sure your staff know how to use LGB. They need to double click on the button and see the button turn red. If the button does not turn red then no onen has received an alert.

Testing the button also helps to make sure that location names have been changed if PCs have been moved about. To change/check the location name of an LGB simply right click on it and go to 'settings'. This is the location that will be displayed on the panic alerts if anyone activates the panic button on this particular PC so it should be a unique name that all your staff will easily understand and will direct them to this location quickly.

So some good examples of locations are:
Main Reception
Consulting Room 1
Practice Manager's Office

You should avoid using IP Addresses and computer names as these may not be familiar to the majority of your staff. You should also avoid people's names as people can move about:
192.168.100.231
COMP_123
Janet Jones
